Display & Trials

Owned, present or out on loan at a store, and not sellable online · programmes 4 and 5 on the shared custody machine (module 11) · a display is a stock-type change at one location, never a movement

BAS is over its display allowance: 41 units against a 34-unit cap (the units cap binds before the 8% cap at 39). Two allocations were refused with HTTP 409 today and are logged in display_allowance_breaches. Nothing was silently dropped.

The overdue ladder

Ruling L29: a clock may propose, escalate, freeze and block a gate. It may never sign.

D+3 / D+7 chase
Automated, to custodian
D+14 escalate
To store manager
D+30 freeze custodian
No further trials issued
D+60 write-off proposed
A proposal only. Finance signs, per the authority matrix
D+90 gate blocking
GATE 7 goes red. A red gate is not ignorable

What a display allocation does to the six measures

on_handunchanged, the unit is still in the building
owned_qtyunchanged, we still own it
sellablereduced, it cannot be sold online
floor_sellableunchanged, a walk-in can still buy the display unit

A trial differs on exactly one row: on_hand falls too, because the unit has left the site. That is the whole difference between the two tabs, and it is why ON_TRIAL needed to be its own stock type (ruling L27) rather than reusing RESERVED.

sold_as_display is the only terminal event in this entire module that is a sale. Every other terminal event is a return, a degrade, or a write-off with a signature.
